Located in Matane, Sophie was inspired by a very important activity in the heart of Matane to find the material that would serve as a basis for her creations. Indeed, Matane is a city renowned for salmon fishing, which can be done right in the city center thanks to the dam on the Matane River, very close to the bridge and the migratory pass. All of this being one of the main tourist attractions of the city.
Sophie has therefore appropriated this original material which is salmon leather to transform it into jewelry and other products. And then other leathers from marine species charmed him and became other beautiful creations.
