The Glass Picker by Alexandre Bellemare
Alexandre is especially interested in hot-formed glass. This technique is rather rare among glass artists. It is worked much like blown glass, except that we do not blow inside the piece in order to keep the glass full. The piece is created layer by layer by adding colors between each. What particularly interests Alexandre in this technique are the very organic shapes that can be given to glass, this very rigid material that we are used to seeing in the form of containers or windows. It allows you to create small universes inside glass balls, each universe is unique and when you observe it for too long you can easily get lost in it.
The works created are unique, original and quality works. They are inspired by Gaspésie nature, to allow travelers and residents of Gaspésie to bring a little of this beauty home.
