Adding 3-6 dryer balls to your wet laundry in your dryer helps decrease static by separating the clothes.  The airflow in the dryer is increased through the clothes and they absorb moisture, helping to decrease drying time and avoiding the use of disposable dryer sheets.

They are therefore an economical solution to add to your washing routine.
