SCHMETZ Chrome Professional Grade is the perfect sewing partner. Chrome is heat resistant. Chrome stays cool longer with less distortion in the stitch and helps the thread pass through the needle eye with less friction and less heat buildup. Chrome also allows the needle to pass through the fabric with less resistance. Ideal for cotton knits, stretch fabrics, rib cuffs, fleece, double knits and for sewing most knit fabrics. The tip is rounder than the universal needle and is designed to push fabric fibers back without cutting them and to prevent scales and drop stitches in knits. Generally yarns like polyester or polyester/cotton blends are best. Again, the smaller the needle, the finer the thread to be used.
